Dean’s Note

As the Dean of Faculty of Applied Sciences, I am very glad to welcome future engineers at the National University of Rwanda.

The faculty offers a variety of engineering programmes which cover both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Our programmes are designed to strengthen the engineering skills of the students by promoting high quality education and research. The undergraduate programmes range from Computer Science, Information Technology, Electricity & Electronics, to Civil Engineering. The postgraduate programme includes the Information Communication Technology, Water Resources & Environment Management. Currently, the faculty is developing new programmes such as BSc. Mechatroncis, BSc. Information Communication Engineering, BSc. Environmental Engineering, MSc. Mechatronics, MSc. Computer Science Engineering and MSc. Mobile & Satellite Engineering.

Students from our faculty are trained to suit the job market in Rwanda as well as the regional and global markets. The alumni survey and tracer study indicates that 70% of our graduates are employed immediately after graduation. This shows the good potentials to explore your career in engineering studies.

Once again, my hearty welcome to students to the Faculty of Applied Sciences.
